Sometimes I think there are two side to me. Some days I'm enlightened and I feel bright and cheery. Other days, I see shadows and I even see scars like tattoos that seem to be a secret language that speak to me trying to take away my light. But I center myself and realize that I am the sum of two parts and they make me who I am.
I love photography because it always surprises me. I like to merge portraits with photos of nature because the process always has unexpected results. I have created scenes giving Mother Nature a voice and a cause. I have created portraits that bring Shakespearean characters to life. I have been lucky enough to win several awards in the Photography and Fine Arts Exhibition at the California State Fair. I have had Editor Favorites on Your Shot the National Geographic Website. My photo "Seasons of Life" was published by National Geographic Your Shot, selected by Maggie Steber for the Nat Geo story, "Not Just a Face..." I have had many of my photos featured on Instagram by Ourfotoworld and PhotowalkGlobal.

This, Marilyn, is a beautiful piece. I believe each of us has a side that, in certain situations, will try to take the light away or at least try to dim our light. Thankfully, at least for me, my brighter side is so much stronger and always wins the battle. Your creative part is your brightest light and I don't think the scars could ever take that away! Fav'd.
